The Gothic façade of Villahermosa’s parish church houses a baroque pictorial ensemble, under a dedication forgotten these days, Our Lady of the Angels, which had its origin and importance on being associated with historical events: The replacement of the Spanish dominion by the Austrian in the kingdom of Naples affected the Franciscan Order, which with its repatriation and establishment in the area, left an artistic imprint associated with the mentioned Order, both in a civil settlement adapted for convent use, and in the parish church.
